Blue eyed girl sitting in a field of grass and yellow flowers

When I first met Miss A, she was crawling under the bleachers at my sons football game. Her adorable character and gorgeous eyes immediately made an impression on me. Her love of flowers and playing outside drove us to a nearby farm for an outdoor Child Photography Session.

This little girl had the sweetest smile and brightest blue eyes!

It was a rare occasion to see sweet A without a bouquet of handpick flowers and I wanted to make sure we captured that during her session.

She was so excited to take photos with me, but just as with most kids, she quickly tired of being photographed! So I suggested she might play in the puddles and she loved it!

I love to portray the imaginations of little girls- she danced in the blossoms of the orchard and the world was immediately transformed into a fairytale!

I couldn’t get over how precious she looked amongst the mustard flowers; a true flower child!

MEET JENNY

Passionate about life, love and beauty…. I am committed to providing you with high quality stunning portraits of your children! If you value photography that authentically portrays your child’s personality, you’ve come to the right place!

Have I ever told you why I love shooting Maternity Sessions? Take a look at these maternity photos…. I bet you see a breathtakingly beautiful pregnant mama. I bet it makes you feel nostalgic and emotional. I bet it makes you want to look at your maternity photos.

elegant backlit maternity photo on white background with sheer drapeOr maybe…. even if only for a second, you’re wishing you’d had them done.

maternity-photo-on-white-beddingI bet what you don’t see is a puffy, fat, ugly woman. Yet, that’s just what every Mama is worried about.

elegant-maternity-belly-portraitWhen the reality is, that is the furthest thing from the truth! Why is it so much easier to believe this about other women? Why are we so hard on ourselves?!

This is exactly the reason I love shooting Maternity Sessions! I want you to feel as beautiful as you are! I love to capture all of the beauty I see, so you can see it too! I am confident when you have maternity photos done, that is exactly what will happen! While you look different,  it is in that difference you are at your most beautiful.  I know someday you will see it too. One day when you l look back at those photos, you will feel nostalgic and emotional and you will admire your own youth and beauty.  You will be glad you have these photos to remember the miracle that took place!

I know, I know, you’re still skeptical that you will look beautiful… you think you don’t look like her; you’re not your usual size, you’re sure your face looks puffy and (if you’re anything like me) your nose has gotten bigger! Here is the other side to that coin. Why you should not only get maternity photos, but you should get professional maternity photos. Shameless plug? maybe 😉 But it is also the truth. An experienced professional photographer will know exactly how to use her equipment, lighting and positioning to capture the most flattering images.  Knowing how to and not to take a photo is so much more than just knowing how to work your camera; a great photographer will make you feel comfortable doing it!

black-and-white-photo-pregnant-woman-on-rustic-backgroundBlack-and-white-outdoor-maternity-photo_0007 But most of all, you should come away from your session feeling as gorgeous as you truly are! So don’t settle Mama,  you deserve the best!

Worried about having your Maternity photos done? Thinking of skipping it all together? Take a look at our Maternity Gallery to see more of Jenny’s maternity work. Decide for yourself, then schedule your session early so you will be sure to secure a spot with The Baby Road.

This was one of those moments I live for… watching the families of my clients grow and getting to capture it for them! I first had the opportunity to photograph this amazing family when thier first was just 18 months, she is now 3! This sister was so proud of her baby brother and the most gentle, kind and funny sibling a brother could ask for! Thank you Nielson Family for sharing your sweet babies with me! XOXO

Don’t wait until the last minute to schedule your newborn session; appointments are limited so it is best to book several months before baby is due!  Like what you see and want more info? Contact Jenny here!

As many of you know, I do no use many props in my newborn sessions. I want the viewer’s focus to be on that precious little bundle and not distracted by props. But I do make one exception… when those props have some significance to the family. This month I had the opportunity to work with someone invaluable to our community… I was honored to create and photograph a newborn session fit for a Roseburg, Oregon Fireman and his family.

Much to my surprise and delight, Dad has these amazing vintage props!

For each session, I like to create a new little outfit so they will be unique to each client. Mom chose greys for Mr. M’s nursery and I loved how this little hat and romper turned out!

Those little toes, lips, fingers and nose will only be this tiny once.

Big sister was so great with her little brother. Although she tried to hide it, you can just see how much she loves him!

Sometimes Mom isn’t in the mood for having her picture taken right after she’s had a baby, but I always try to incorporate her somehow so she’ll have those precious photos with her baby too.Roseburgn Oregon Baby and Newborn Photographer_0006

Part of his nursery theme is elephants. I had so much fun making this tiny vintage stuffed elephant just for the occasion!

And where my skills/time are limited, I have a wonderful vendor who creates these beautiful hand knit blankets, hats and even elephant toys! Thank you Jessica!  You can find more of her gorgeous work  at her Etsy store here.

Awe, thanks Deana! You are too kind!

  • Not only is this one of my favorite ages to photograph, but with Max’s session came new and exciting opportunities! I was contacted by the local news channel wanting to do a little ‘Local Artists’ feature on a recent national award I had won. Max’s mama had called me the same day to schedule his fall 2 year portrait session. I was thrilled to have them help me out with this new story! A KVAL/KPIC News reporter met me at the park where we were doing the session. After a nerve wracking first TV interview we captured some amazing images of Mr. Maxamillian!
